Terms of use
Last updated: 15 October 2026
In short: QuietNote is free, with no ads. We provide it as it is, and we're honest about what it can't do. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
QuietNote™ is made and published by Controlled Systems Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17118598), registered office 58 Broton Drive, Halstead, England, CO9 1HB. QuietGuard™ is a brand of the same company. In these terms, "we" and "us" means that company. You can reach us at support@quietguard.io.
2. What QuietNote is
QuietNote is a note app for Android phones. You speak or type a note, and QuietNote can remind you about it at a time you choose.
3. Free
QuietNote is free to download and use, with no ads and no subscriptions. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to install and use QuietNote on phones you own or look after.
4. What QuietNote can't do
We want you to know QuietNote's limits as clearly as what it does:
- Speech recognition can mishear words. Please read important notes before you rely on them.
- Reminders depend on your phone: battery saving, Do Not Disturb, silent mode or turned-off notifications can delay or hide them. Please don't rely on QuietNote alone for anything critical, such as medicine.
- Notes in Recently deleted are deleted for good after 7 days. Your notes are copied elsewhere only if your phone's own backup is switched on.
- Android or your phone's maker can change how speech recognition, alarms and notifications work. We do our best to keep QuietNote working, but it may not work the same way on every phone.
5. Please don't
- sell QuietNote, or pass off a changed copy of it as ours;
- remove our name, trade marks or these terms from it;
- use it to break the law or to harm anyone.
6. Updates
We may release updates through Google Play to fix problems or improve QuietNote. We may stop offering QuietNote in the future.
7. Your privacy
Your notes and settings stay on your phone, and QuietNote never keeps any audio. The privacy policy has the details.
8. Our responsibility to you
QuietNote is free, and we provide it as it is. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be free of faults or suit everyone, and we aren't responsible for a reminder that didn't appear or for notes that were lost or deleted.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility where the law doesn't allow that, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. If QuietNote damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.
9. Our names and marks
QuietNote™, QuietGuard™ and the Q mark are our trade marks. Please don't use them in a way that suggests something comes from us when it doesn't.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll publish the new version here with a new date. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using QuietNote and uninstall it at any time.
11. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your own country's law gives you.
